Tramadol withdrawal

I have been on tramadol for 7 years now at max dose, i have rheumatoid arthritis & have had 4 major back surgeries in the last 4 years. I dont want it in my body anymore :'(. Ive been on just about every narcotic there is and none were anywhere near as hard to get off of. I have been trying to ween off of tramadol for 3 weeks now and its been SO hard. I hate this so much & i feel like its never gonna end but i HAVE to get off of it. Every time i lower my dose i have severe twitching in my legs, restless legs, brain jolts, sweating, loss of energy & a general feeling of unease & restlessness. My spine is fused from my shoulders to my tailbone with stainless steel rods & screws.
Its analgesic effects take about one hour to come into effect and 2–4 hours to peak after oral administration with an immediate-release formulation. [13] On a dose-by-dose basis tramadol has about one-tenth the potency of morphine and is approximately equally potent when compared to pethidine and codeine.
Wish I would have stayed
